Crimson Tide.
Lucy. Or Lucille (as in Lucille Ball).
Well I know this isn’t elegant but you could always call her “Red headed Stepchild!” My Chestnut OTTB Mare’s JC name is “A True Angel” it just stuck. I call her Angel, Bangle, and Princess Poop-a-lot. I agree to wait until she names herself.
She could be named after any type of hot sauce. Google to be dazzled with hot sauce names!!!
I’ve had a couple and the first thing that came to my mind was Beelzebub LOL
Scarlet Fever
Oh YES. love that movie, and a great name…
I quite like Red Hot Momma!
Scarlette
Movie? I thought it referred to the football team , or, rather, any of the collegiate teams of the University of Alabama.
Ginger Snap
I’m so drawn to bays I can’t see myself ever getting a chestnut so I’ll give you my chestnut mare name…Nutmeg. Call her Meg or Meggie for short? Not sure about a show name…
Or after a red wine? Zinfandel (Zin), or How about Original Zin?

For more ideas.
Or how about “Red” in a different language?
Rojo (Spanish pronounced Row- hoe)
Rounge (French)
Rosso (Italian)
Rouge (French)
But I don’t advise the German, Rot (pronounced Rowt- but English speakers would say it as Rot as in rotten… of course depending on her personality…)
Like it! Rioja would be a great name, but you would have to grit your teeth for ever listening to it being pepronounced Reee oh. Ja
I suppose it is a good idea to provide phonetic pronunciation of name where name could be announced if pronunciation isn’t obvious from the spelling.
Tara

If you’re a Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire fan:
Melisandre - aka the Red Woman/Red Priestess that counseled Stannis Baratheon
Well if the horse in question were a Gelding,
He could be…
CLIFFORD the big red horse!!!
