Just some more thoughts-
So this must have been a custom-fitted, custom-made saddle for the original horse? I can’t see having that tree-panel-seat configuration for an off-the-rack saddle. In which case I got a smoking deal on it (which I’m passing on to the next owner, btw ;))
If I were to find another BC saddle, definitely will not need the hoop tree!
Most think the Ricochet is slightly deeper and the Wexford has more cantle and bigger blocks even though on the same tree.

So does that mean that a saddle built on a Ricochet (Wexford?) tree have the same long balance point in the seat? Or is the top of the saddle scoopier, too?[/QUOTE]
Seat’s a little scoopier, though not terribly much.
That’s a bummer to hear, since my baby horse is probably more of a Quantum horse than a Wexford. Bought a Ricochet (thanks Kitt!) for my TB in December 2012, thinking that I would be able to use it on the next horse too since it would probably be a TB…and then got a Trakehner in March 2013 that is flat as a board. I was really excited to hear that you were selling a Quantum…but now it turns out it probably wouldn’t fit him either
The Loxley jump might be worth considering, McVillesMom. The classic tree offers a good fit for the flat backs. Albion K2 is another that can work pretty well.
