Navy field boots

No one is more navy-obsessed than me…
My Parlanti’s fit like a glove but were too short so I had a navy ostrich piece added to the top – looks a bit odd close up but you can’t tell from a normal distance…

also had spur straps made while he was at it. & had swagger tabs put on my old vogels – more conservative so I use these for dressage. & I do have navy boot polish?

Love the boots in the second photo with just the navy tab. Very classy while still different.

Personally OP I think that photo is OOOOOOGLY. However, a darker Navy that would shine would be pretty awesome. The pic of your helmet didn’t come through but I know what color you mean. Purty! Also the idea of navy piping (which would look much nicer than red IMO.) However, it is jumper’s and your money/style, so whatever floats your boat!

Where would you find navy boot polish?

It’s actually not that difficult because of men’s dress shoes. Kiwi makes it. In Light Navy or Regular Navy as well. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Navy polish at Walmart actually!

I like the idea of Navy once they are shined up! I’ve been waiting YEARS to be able to afford a pair of brown boots, but not yet. I’ve always thought Navy would be cool too.

I once saw a pair of dark, dark, dark green boots that I thought would be killer fun for XC. No idea where you would find green boot polish though!
Check out these green ones!

To each their own… I just don’t care for the look of leather boots unless they’re back or natural brown tone. Now, I think CORDOVAN boots would look SMASHING with the OP’s navy ensemble… but I just don’t dig the navy leather. Cordovan would look swoon-worthy with the navy, IMHO, and not as matchy matchy as navy boots. It looks NQR to me. But if it makes the OP happy-- go for it.
Thanks an excellent idea! I love cordovan and it would compliment the nacy really well. This is exactly the kind of input I was looking for

OMG, if you get cordovan, post a photo. I will probably die from beauty. Can you imagine really soft, well fitted deep reddy brown cordovan boots with the navy. SO SO SO PRETTY. Is your horse bay? DOUBLE SWOON!

Love the style of those. I think the green is a little too green for me, but they’re cool boots. If it was darker green, almost black, they would be AWESOME.

I love that! I have a pair of boots that are too short as well. Where did you get this done? I wonder if any local shoe/boot shop would be able to handle this. Somehow I doubt it. Very nice.

I went to a local shoe & boot shop - he has been caring/repairing my boots & chaps (& even reins once) for a few years. We don’t have anyone in town who repairs tack and he does a lot of leather work, he makes wallets, shoes, belts so I started bringing things to him since he has the right equipment. I try to bring pictures in so we are on the same page - I was pretty nervous about the Parlantis (we choose not to take apart the top of the finished boot so I could change my mind!) but I’m very happy with them!

Thanks. He did a great job.

I love these! Especially the second pair, with the swagger tabs. That’s so cool looking, what a fun touch without getting crazy.

When I saw the thread title navy blue field boots, these were what I pictured: http://www.horsepalace.es/images/thumbnail/produkte/xlarge/petrie/18-Coventry-5673.jpg. I think they’re gorgeous:D

I say if you like them, get them.

When I can afford custom dressage boots I want these:http://www.horsepalace.es/images/thumbnail/produkte/xlarge/petrie/18-Elegance-5924.jpg

BTW… This site has quite a few unusual boots. All Petrie I think. www.horsepalace.es/ I think these are a bit over the top for actually riding in, but still pretty awesome http://www.horsepalace.es/images/thumbnail/produkte/xlarge/petrie/3-Coventry-5659.jpg

Love both of the boots.

Can you afford or do you have black boots as well? What if you decide to do eq or catch a ride on a hunter/eq horse and only have navy boots?

And remember that brown or navy boots isn’t considered formal. Though I do think a tan or brown with navy piping or trim would look good.

Oh-oh.

http://www.stylemyride.net/#!cwr1/c1dlh

Wow, those boots AR posted are LOUD. Holy heck! But if colored coats come back in, I think that’ll be nice. A sea of black is boring!

And what’s with the gravestones?
