I DO NOT want to watch Lyel Lovett. I do not want to watch panning cameras over empty fields. I want to WATCH THE COMPETITION. How about nexct time for the super bowl you ONLY show highlights and not the game…IDIOTS
 hahaha add the 2 second highlight flashes. Boy that tells the story, hay.
Ugh, my thoughts exactly. I love how they were able to condense 17 days into a whopping 6 hours of television (less, because of commercials and football updates!). I was so excited to watch vaulting (since it was listed in the coverage) and so pissed that I got to see a what, 3 minute highlight of who won??? They didn’t even show a single performance! I hate how we (horse people) always get screwed by television.
Does anyone know a website that has videos you can watch (for free)? I’d really love to be able to see some of the vaulting performances. I’ve never had an opportunity to attend a competition but I’m fascinated by it.
And No Fuego.
If you go the the Altech website, you can watch the entire vaulting sessions for free.
Anyone know where you can watch the driving? I loved the taste of show jumping they gave me, but the rest was just sickening. I think they spent more time talking about photocopiers than driving.
I hear ya, but if NBC thinks there were mediocre viewing numbers, etc., it will be less willing to cover equestrian in the future. Maybe e/mail NBC Sports and tell them how much you watched and how much you enjoyed and that maybe next time, if the coverage could be as much as about the action as possible, that would be great.
It’s all about viewership and about getting those advertisers… if no one says ‘thanks,’ even with our irritation over the fluff aspect of coverage, horse sports will remain a margin note.

How dare you come in here sporting your high-falutin’ realism?! We’re busy being incensed.
You can watch all of the driving and the vaulting at this website:
nope, not in Canada. !#!$@!#!@##@%$@#$
I am so sick of this!
I sent a couple of you videos from the FEI TV site. I hope they work for you.
I was surprised, given the USA team gold in vaulting, that they did not show more than 10 seconds of that round. Seemed to be worth showing just that one in its entirety.
I was also surprised that they didn’t take more time to explain the para dressage and to discuss some of the disabilities the riders have and how they are accommodated. I think the whole audience would have found that very interesting. Even 5 minutes would have been well used there.
But I was pleasantly surprised that they showed the final 4 in its entirety.
Okay, now that I’ve taken the time to see the USA vaulting freestyle, I am incredulous that NBC did not show it in its entirety. I haven’t seen vaulting for a long time… I had no idea the choreography had gotten so complex.
Truly amazing. Rather like figure skating dance but with 7 of your closest friends and a horse.
This is really, really frustrating - I want to see the driving and the vaulting, but can’t view them here. FEI charges huge amounts to us, and Alltech doesn’t let us watch at all.
False Impressions, what do you want to see, and who do you want to see doing it?

Again, all discipline highlights, and some whole sessions, can be viewed free at www.usefnetwork.com

I understand it is blocked outside of the United States.

Good grief!!
Like the Olympics, broadcasting rights were sold by country…
