Neat movie clip, blessing of hounds

Cross posting from FOL, a one minute clip of a 1934 blessing of the hounds in Lexington, KY:

How kind of you! Neat! Thanks.

Just beautiful to see–thanks so much for posting this.

Isn’t there a hunt club that still gives St Hubert medals in a similar ceremony?

Is it Iroquois maybe?

It’s Iroquois! The clip is of Iroquois but apparently was filmed not at the old Grimes Mill, where the blessing ceremony takes place today, but (someone tells me) at a church in Winchester, not too far away.

We do still give the St. Hubert’s medals, too!

aha! I was thinking it looked so much like the ceremony you hold it was surreal.

What do you think of the clip? Can you identify anyone in it?

I’m pretty sure I see the late MFH Fauntleroy Pursley, the first to be blessed, at about the :34 mark. Love the clip!
