I have a cedar forest on the back few acres of my property. We had an ice storm (not disastrous, but enough to weight the trees) night before last, followed by a bit of snow. So I went around to check my back fence, which was untreed and looked okay. I did lose one cedar in the middle of the forest, but nowhere near the fence. So I commented on this on Facebook, and my stepmother wondered if I could go back with a saw and get her a chunk of cedar heartwood from the broken tree. So I went back down to that section this afternoon to get some heartwood for her, and my gray gelding wanted to go along. Just a cell phone snap of him going down the path. The cedar trees normally are not this droopy and heavy, but it made a nice winter shot, I thought.
Gorgeous!
Oh my gosh- yes, gorgeous!
Wow, it’s magical. That could be a symbolic picture. The horse purposefully on a path that disappears into a forest of silvered trees … the drooping branches seem to be gesturing toward the horse … the slice of open sky …
That has to mean something. Don’t know what.
Oh that is a magical scene! I could see it being a book cover or in a horse calendar or something, it’s so pretty! It almost makes me like winter.
