Thanks Xerox. I still find the thicker materials too hot. I’m a very broken body, though. The T.S. - too thick, very pretty though. Oh well.
After shopping for price I went ahead and ordered a pair of the Tailored Sportsman Trophy Hunter breeches with the mid-rise. I have not ridden in them yet but they are much more flattering than many other brands. I like that they come closer to my natural waist and they do have a bit more fabric in the seat/thigh without being baggy. This pair feels thin(ner) compared to other brands that have the super thick stretchy material but my hope is that these won’t give me the sprayed on look that is rather unflattering to a more mature figure.
I hope you like them. I love mine. I also have Ovations, which are indeed thicker, but less flattering for some reason. I was fortunate to get mine on super sale on the SmartPak clearance floor. The list price is kind of ouchy.
my favorite pair of breeches are Romph. Not thick, but sleek and comfortable!
This is a thank you to those who suggested the Tailored Sportsman Trophy Hunter (mid-rise) breeches. I was so pleased with the way they felt and looked and the mushroom color is perfect for the field. They sit on the waist with no gaps or shirttails coming loose and fit without being skintight or clinging in the wrong places. They are pricey but compared to some of the other “kinder cut” brands and styles they are affordable (especially with coupons!).
