I am looking for a more refining type stallion that can produce hunters. Mare will be bred next year and she is by Apiro. Client would also like it to have bling. I am just looking for a few more options that I haven’t thought of yet.
Thanks!

What about Farscape?
Would prefer to use American European stallions, and frozen. Sorry I forgot to mention that. I know what stallion I would use if I picked one from Dreamscape but the buyer would prefer not to use a Candia stallion.
Ultime Espoir in fresh or frozen.
Chaleon
HH Himself frozen from Hyperion
Shine
I know nothing about bling factor.
What abour Apiro,he is blingy but I am not sure about refined…
If you were looking for dressage stallions I would say Donarweiss but not that up on my hunters, sorry!
As me toned, her sire is Apiro, so that will not work. He is bling but does not seem to pass it unfortunately and he also is the farthest thing from a refining stallion
Maybe too early to tell what he is capable of producing long term, but I love Coronet D/Honneur
He should refine and produce bling as well

If she would consider a TB stallion, check out Artic Blue - 16.3hh black TB stallion
http://stonehousemeadows.com/stallions.html
He is a dominant white, black based stallion (so genetically he is black, but visually looks pure white.) His markings have taken over his entire body turning him - in effect - into one giant “marking”. He is a beautiful mover and phenomenal jumper and should work to refine this mare beautifully

Legaczy, he is by Alla Czar. Standing at New Blessing Farm in Mount Airy, MD Lovely horse, refinement stallion produces bling!
I love Legaczy but I absolutely don’t think of him as a refining stallion.
Refining stallions include Diarado, Escudo I, Sir Wanabi (though tall himself). OP do you have a registry preference, ie does it need to be AHS?

Anne I think we differ on what is a “refinement.” I think of refinement as a more modern type, more toward Thoroughbred. So in that way perhaps the recommendations for a TB stallion are excellent. Not sure that I would consider a Holstein as refining.
Sir Wanabe is lovely and produces some attractive horses.
This is my Legazcy filly at a year of age, I think she is lovely and refined http://www.herselffarm.com/images/Karat_FEH_Finals_-_Yearling.JPG
Here as a foal at Warrenton: http://www.herselffarm.com/images/BestKaratWarrenton.jpg
Legaczy himself is a massive horse. He’s beautiful, his owner is wonderful, but his offspring are large with tons of bone. That’s not what I would choose for an Apiro mare who needs to be refined.
Diarado may be registered as a Holsteiner, but he is considered a refining sire who needs a taller mare with bone.
I have no personal experience here, but one that has all the appearances of refining is the Redfield Farms owned hunter stallion Fandango HX
Newly imported, frozen from Hyperion. KWPN.
Certainly looks to fit your list.
Diarado! Sorry he is not in the states but… He is simply drop-dead gorgeous and very athletic. He looks like he could produce for any arena as well. Wish my own mare wasn’t a hony, else I’d breed her to him in a heartbeat! I think he has some sons with more “bling” that might be worth looking into.
I have a Pablo mare who is beautifully refined and floaty, with excellent feet to boot. That might be too much Pilot up close, but maybe one of his sons?
What about using a Trakehner stallion – they certainly refine for the most part and many do very well o/f. I know Joe Pimental has recently bought a GP jumper stallion that is totally blinged out. Don’t know if he is “hunter-y” enough, I believe his name is Hirtentanz. You can check him out at Aqua Farms. He will be in the US next year I think. Horalas is also a TK with alot of jump - GP horse, but could possibly sire a hunter and he might have some bling. Love my Oskar mare, she is blingy as is he although she is doing dressage he has sired some nice hunters and was a jumper in Russia.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions so far!! Registration does not matter, I will get the mare a proved whatever I need to to get a registered foal, stallion dependent
What about Roc USA? Would he refine enough? He is currently #1 in USEF rankings for hunter breeding sires, and #6 for hunter sires.
Another one to look at is Rosenthal. He doesn’t have bling, but he is has a lot of refinement blood in his pedigree, and he sires lovely, elegant foals with gaits and temperament and enough jump for hunters (unless you are aiming for the bigger fences - not sure about scope).
Thanks! I actually really love Roc USA and would love to use him on this filly, convincing the client is a bit harder
Keep the ideas coming
