Need "D" names for Maestro's sisters

To everyone who remembers Maestro, he had two full sisters born via ET last week. One had a few issues at birth but is doing very well now. The other was born a week ago today.
Of course I want names with some form of “Dance” in it and it has to start with a “D”. Sire is Don Principe and Dam is EM Fuerst Dancer MF by Fuerst Heinrich out of EM Rotina(Rotspon/Argentinus)

One is a dark bay with huge star and left hind sock.
The other is black with three stockings and a crocked blaze.
Both are leggy and tall. Friendly and curious. I am calling the black one “legs” for the time being as she is sooo leggy and tall. Should mature at 17+
The other one is in FL with a friend as the ET mare was too much for me to handle. I am told she is “legs” as well although her barn name for the moment is “Dani”.

The amazing thing is, that if such things exsist, it is almost as if Maestro is back with me. We had neighbors drop by earlier this week and they told me that they knew exactly who the foal was and that it could have been him! The black filly looks exactly like Maestro did at birth with the exception of color and gender.

BTW_ Rotina had a Prince colt this afternoon as well.

I NEVER get involved in name suggestions, because it seems to be a very personal thing…BUT one of my favorite Elton John songs is “Dark Diamond” - think it would be an awesome name, but alas, its not a dance related name.

Diamond Dancer
Dance(ing) Again
Dance Once More
Dancing Queen (ABBA!)

Dosados, Dosido, Dosado - all the same name for the steps in a square dance (which is what dressage freestyle really is)! Also Degage and Demi-Plie are ballet terms. Also Der Waltz for a real Hanoverian term! As a ballet term “Devant” means “in front”. I also think D’Allemande is a nice name and named for the dances with linked arms!

Date with Destiny
Destiny Fulfilled

Total lurker here but I love name threads.

Dance Hall Days
Dancer in the Dark
Danseuse (ballerina)
Danse Russe

There are interesting ballet terms with a D too - Developpe, Demi-Pointe, etc.

Congratulations!

I LOVE Dosido–or Do Si Do. Around here, it’s spelled Dosey Doe.

Delta Dawn. Once you start its impossible to get the song out of your head!

Daae (d long i long a)–for Christine Daae, the young singer in The Phantom of the Opera who was in the ballet chorus before being tutored by Erik.

Dans L’air (“in the air” in French), dance-y

Congratulations!!! Probably some bittersweet moments, but a true blessing!

Not really dance-y but:
Debutante
Delight – or something with it – Delightly

barn names-- Daphne, Delilah, Deliah

Disco Queen

Dance with me

Danseuse Etoile (highest grade for a ballerina at the “Opera de Paris” Ballet)
Duncan Isadora

Great names, keep them coming!

We already have a Debutaunte and a Dinah.

In the running is “Dance with Me” and Dance to the Music"
I also like the french terms for the ballet. Dansuese and Daae are really special as well.

But nothing seems to “stick” yet.
Dancing Queen is probably going to be the one in FL> Andrea gets to name her.

Dance Hall Girl?

Or, in looking at the origins of the word “dance” - from Middle English, there is “dansen” and “dauncen”. From Old French, there is “danser” and “dancier”, and from old Frankish, there is “dintjan” (pronounced, I think, as “donchin” - but it would probably trip up show announcers big time).

Dulce
Dulcimer
Dulcinea
Delicato
Descant
Dorian

Danse avec moi (Dance with me)
Danse Lascive (Dirty Dancing)
Demi-pointes
Danse classique

Diva… Diva’s Dance…
Donna Fortuna
Donna (insert your favorite dance)

How about Dynamic for one of them?

Congrats.

Tina’s boy and filly names

OMG!!! Saw this guy move and I have goosebumps!

He has a contracted right fore. Never had one before that is only 1 leg. With a bandage on, he went out for a short time this morning and blew all of us away. I thyink I am going tobe beating off the buyers with a stick over this one.

He is a bit of a shit right now, can rear, aim, and buck like the devil. Weighs about 145, so not so easy to hang onto if he does not want to be held. IgG was super and he passed his newborn physical wtih flying colors.

His name is definitely David Bowie–too much of an opnionated guy for the fabulous Dick Clark.

As for the filly, had the vet out for the colt, and the tech watched her for just a few seconds before she had a huge grin. Maestro was one of the vet clinic’s most loved patients. She is certainly her brother in type, movement and temperment. Special and elegant.

Just so you folks know you are on the right track, We have a Dynamic, Donna Hall, Diva, and a Dulcinea.
