I have quite a few PM’s that I’d like to delete (clearing out my in and out box). I have been checking them, hitting the delete button. I then get a message…do I want to move them to trash. I hit OK. Then the page does it’s thing. It loads, and the page flips. And when it is all done…the messages I wanted to delete are still there. On occasion, I might see one has been deleted, but not the 10 or so I am trying to delete. Where am I going wrong?
You basically have to delete messages twice on this system. You delete them, and they go into your trash folder, and then you have to permanently delete them from your trash folder for them to be truly gone.
My guess is that maybe you’re still seeing them in your trash? You can also try leaving your message center after toy delete them and then checking if they’re still there. When I’m deleting multiple messages by a spammer in the moderation queue, I can still see the messages until I leave that screen.
Let me know if any of that helps. I can see that you have dozens of messages in your trash folder if I look at the PM statistics for your account (we can’t see actual messages… just how many are in each of your folders).
Thanks! I had no idea I had to permanently delete them from my trash can. I just figured the trash would clean itself out every now and then like email trash. Seemed to work.
