Hi Sporthorse Breeders, I need some info from you. I realize the number can vary, but can you help me with the number of frozen straws you would expect in a purchased dose of semen. What is the lowest number you have received and what is the highest number. TIA!
That is going to vary widely based on the size of the straws and the concentration of progressively motile sperm. There is no one size fits all answer for this, or even an estimate.

Superior Equine Sires has a conception database. Some of the entries include the number of straws per dose. It is free to register and view them so that might be a place to look for some information.
