Need ideas for clinic swag bags / gift bags for participants

The barn where I board is hosting a clinic and we’d like to give the participants a swag / gift bag.

As a clinic rider, what would you like to see in a swag / gift bag?

All ideas appreciated, but I’m on a budget, so particularly interested in lower cost items.

TIA!

I would be thrilled with baby wipes, Neutrogena hand lotion, and sugar cubes  and a reusable water bottle maybe…

Snacks for riders- energy bars / fruit etc
treats for horses- carrots/ apples or manufactured -local feed store might donate them and do up little baggies of a couple different sorts.
Note pad and pen
baseball hat with farm logo

Bottle of water, lip balm, horse treats. Our local show has sample packs of various things donated by local companies.

Those $6 Tiger Tongue grooming sponges are all the rage

I like the one I ordered! (as a result of the other recent thread)

Individually wrapped hand cleaning wipes are always a good thing.

Lots of feed companies have the lip balms. Maybe hit up a few and see if they can send some your way.

You could make up a sticker or magnet that says, “I survived the 2018 John Doe clinic!” on cafepress or zazzle.

Thanks for the great ideas, everyone!

@vxf111 I hadn’t heard of the tiger’s tongue before. What a great idea!

nice sewing kit

@snaffle635 I’ve been intrigued by the Tiger Tongue so googled it… FYI State Line Tack has them on sale right now and the cost goes down the more you buy… I’m going to snag a few myself…

–small sample sized leather cleaning items like a tiny Effax or Higher Standards. Shouldn’t be pricey and small enough to stow in tack boxes for quick cleanings between rides.
–sunscreen
–chapstick
–pen and notepad
–does your farm have swag items like hats or coozies?
–small hand sanitizer (b/c you know us horse people don’t wash our hands enough at the barn lol)

Basically what everyone else is saying

So in addition to the lip balm (with SPF, of course)…and the a recent ‘swag’ item from a guest ranch I went to that I think is the BEST.THING.EVER is this belt clip to hold the lip balm. When you’re talking about being on a horse for several hours, it is amazing how useful this was…and even just at the barn walking around where I do NOT want my lip balm in my pocket to get hot and melty…

I was also going to echo the Tiger Tongue as I’m giving it a try with all the recent praise hear…

I also like the Epona Shed Flower (similar idea to the Tiger Tongue)

it’s from another thread, I take no credit

The belt loop would probably also make it less likely that the lip balm would end up in the washing machine…

@RugBug , super clever! Would never have thought of that! Great idea!

I have a lip balm on a string that can go around the neck and hide under a shirt if desired. When the tube runs out, I just put in another brand and I am good to go.
