Need name

This is my filly, she just turned 12 months in June. I would like name suggestions please. She is very smart, a bit spicy, likes to be busy, already likes to have a job. She sticked at 13.3,
I think she is very beautiful, I could not capture her look on camera. Sire is Andalusian,(Iluminado del Bosque) dam is Percheron x
I have been calling her Beauty but that is too cliche even for me.

I need a reg name and a barn name.

Since her dam is a Percheron and that breed originated in France, and her sire is an Andalusian, originating in Spanish, I thought about her name being “French Beauty” in Spanish…which is Belleza Francesa.

Barn names could be: Belle, Bella, Leza, Frances, Franny, Fran

Oh, she is darling!
Querida is Spanish for “dear one”, Querida Mia is “my dear”

Very nice! I like your thinking!

Since you are a “colorfan,” and she is solid -colored, how about Spotless, barn name Lisa?

Bella or Cara for her barn name. And Cara Bella (Beautiful Face) for her registered name.

Clever!

I thought about her Percheron (French origins) and Andalusian (Iberian/Spanish/Portuguese origins) breeding and came up with this (chat gpt helped!):

“Sylvie” is one of my favorite French-origin names for girls and I think it might be a good fit for her expression and what you’ve described of her personality.

Sylvie means “from the woods” or “of the forest,” so here are some Spanish and Portuguese-origin words for reg name possibilities:

Terms for a forest/pasture landscape/ecosystem or related:
Dehesa (general descriptive term in Spain)
Montado (same but in Portugual)
Dehesas de Sierra Morena (more specific – Morena also can mean “dark-haired”)

This forest landscape is home to the national trees of both countries:
Encina (Spain’s Holm Oak)
Sobreiro (Portugal’s Cork Oak - the feminine Sobreira can also be used and goes well with Sylvie IMO). Sobreiro/Sobreira has been used in literature to evoke some of the same qualities of the important Cork Oak: resilience, longevity, and connection to the land.

iluminar la oscuridad

Iluminate the darkness, if Google translate can be trusted. I’d call her Sunny.

Speaking as a former horse show announcer, please pick a name an average announcer can pronounce. I would try to track down entrants before shows if I found name difficulties but couldn’t always find them.

That’s a good point!
