As I’ve gotten older, (55), I’m really trying to be even more safety conscious. I am riding in the CO Pro Plus II, I tried the Champion Ultimate helmet, unfortunately it fits a round head. I also have a peanut head- 6 5/8. I didn’t like how the OneK Defender fit either. I was looking at the CO 4 Star, and wondered if it would fit like the Pro II. I also wondered about the J3. I do have the oval head, so I know I probably need to stay with the CO. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Pro II, just wondering what else may fit my head.
I have an oval head, too and CO has been the only thing that’s comfortable - even the One K oval was too round. I ride in a Pro II now and used to have the J3. The J3 is lower profile, but a little higher on my forehead, and gave me less of an egg head look. I also liked that it felt just a little lighter and smaller. Fit-wise, they’re about the same.
I have a similar problem and found the Champion Ventair skull cap fits perfectly, unlike the Ultimate. I also thought the new CO MS1 Pro was pretty good for an oval head, better than any of the other CO helmets I’ve tried.
I wish I had seen this sooner, as I ordered a CO 4 Star from the UK. Hope it works. Thanks for the info for future use.
