I am having a dickens of a time finding the names of vets in the Roanoke area who can do a good PPE on a horse I am considering down there. Any suggestions of names of practices that can come to a farm?
I haven’t been in the area for awhile, but I used Dr. Young of Cedar Run Veterinary while I was at Virginia Tech. Not sure if she goes up to Roanoke or is just around the Blacksburg/Christiansburg area - but maybe she can point you toward someone who does! She is very trustworthy, did a fabulous job with my horse.
I live in Rockbridge County, it’s about 45 minutes from Roanoke, and I know Mountain View Equine Hospital will travel quite a ways. Blue Ridge Animal Clinic, though not specialised in equines, will also travel for large animals. Not sure how far they’d actually go but it’s worth a shot.
