Here’s another public post from someone that apparently shows more of his lungeing methods.

So there is a new lawsuit against him filed in New Jersey. Centrella v Parra. It appears plaintiff is a horse person. But don’t have access to Pacer to be able to read any more
Hideous
It’s appalling.
He’s got a boatload of sponsors. I wonder how many will stay with him.
Not draw reins. A neck stretcher. No reins attached. It goes from the poll, through the rings of the bit and fastens to the girth between the horse’s front legs. I have used them where appropriate, but the use if it on the horse in the video tells me that the rider can’t get the horse through, which means piaffe/half steps are the LAST thing that horse needs to be working on. Just plain stupid “training.”
Not a martingale - see my earlier post.

100%, THIS. Some of the comments from when this thread was open 10 years ago did not age well, imo.
I’ve always suspected something but never seen anything personally, and the William incident left a bad taste in my mouth so I kept my mouth shut because I never witnessed anything so didn’t know. Riding with him in warmup, always the energy was bad around them, and told my clients to stay clear.
Have had a few horses owned by clients with “failed” horses from his program… the horses always tell you if you listen. Watching these videos sure explains the mess we’ve had to untangle for these poor horses. Just OMG! Im surprised they even let us sit on them let alone with a whip in our hands…. I’m sure to go kiss and hug each one extra tomorrow.
I have known this stallion since he was born. He was not being rushed for licensing. He was there to be evaluated for training. He was always a sweet stallion who did not rear nor strike out while lunged. I have groomed him, fed him apples, been in his stall, filmed him . William never was a bullish stallion ever. Do not believe hype from his minions.

Do they also tie them to the round pen? I’ve NEVER seen that but then again, I don’t hang with the kind of scum that abuses animals.
Is that what is going on with the chestnut horse in one video? That horse has a surcingle on, his head cranked down, and is in a round pen piaffing. Parra is whipping it, and it is kicking out, but not moving forward.
Maybe it is tied to the outside wall of the roundpen, and unable to move forward? If so… that’s an appalling and abusive way to “train” the horse.
All the videos are distressing and disturbing. The guy seems sadistic.
What happend to him? There’s blood on the wall and he seems to have broken his neck? Can somebody please explain? This is horrific!
Click on the link that Badger supplied and read the comments. William’s owner bravely posted in them.
This is William. He was the horse that started this thread. Cesar tied him tighter then the ones in these videos. He had no where to go and ended up flipping over because he had no ability to balance while being lunged. The blood is from his nose. He suffered a TBI, broken jaw and other severe injuries. Because people covered up issues with CP, his methods were kept under wraps. CP has been protected. William was a very sweet and gentle stallion.
This is Jessica’s incredibly corageous story:
Thank you for your input. My comments were based on info I had received from someone who had received it from someone on the scene. It now seems that we were fed misinformation, apparently in an attempt at damage control by the Parra organization.
And based on the recent revelations of a continual pattern of horse abuse by CP, I hope he suffers the consequences he deserves.
