New boots for the human :)

I have been looking around for some new boots to wear and ride in… I was wondering what y’all rode in/wore around the barn. I would like something that will last the longest and that won’t wear down quickly. I’m not a big fan of the Ariat boots because every time I get a pair of those they only last me 1-2 months and I can’t keep buying new boots that often. I am open to any suggestions. Fire away!! Please and thank you!

I ride/work/live in my redback boots. The easyouts, so no fear of getting hung up in a stirrup. Mine are 2 years old of daily wear and I should probably swipe some balsam over them here in the next couple weeks. Should get another year or two out of them.

Thank you so much! I will definitely look into those!

I love my tony lamas! They’ve lasted forever and I have not been easy on them!

I love the Ariat ProBabys. So I guess I can’t help you if Ariat hasn’t worked for you. Mine have held up fine.

I’m searching for some durable practice boots as well. I don’t have a recommendation for you but I can definitely say that Tredstep tall boots will not last, nor will the Ariat Volants… and I suppose (if you’re looking for something that is going to last a while with a lot of use) you should avoid Parlanti tall boots. But I see Parlanti has come out with the “Pro” boots with reinforced calves and buffalo leather… I’m thinking about getting their buffalo half chaps.

I have a pair of Durango Rebel’s I got off eBay for cheap. I honestly didn’t expect them to hold up but surprisingly they have and are comfortable. I wear them daily for working out in the barn. Ariats kill my feet now and their wide isn’t wide enough. The Rebels I bought in a B width and fit fine.

I work in Twisted X steel toe boots and they are incredibly comfy. I’m on my feet most of the time during the day working at the ranch, tack shop, or with clients in the evenings. The only time I switch out of these boots is if I’m headed in to town and know I won’t be around horses at all or going to the gym. Other than that, I’m in my Twisted X boots from 6am to 10pm most days. Sometimes I get to be done by 8pm, but the animals usually aren’t too keen to let that happen lol

I also have 2 pair. I switch them daily to help the boots last longer and they have an opportunity to dry out completely. I find they get smelly if I wear the same pair daily. I’m 2 years on to both pairs of Twisted X steel toe boots.

Thank you! I’ve been looking to get a pair of their moccasins and wear those everyday, then compete in something else.

I’ve hear great things about their mocs too, haven’t tried them myself, but most of my friends have them and LOVE them.
