Does anyone know anything about these yet? Aviar saddles… Saw it in the new PH/DT. Can’t really find anything online yet…
Just curious.

Just curious.
both their fb page and their website just have a whole lot of ‘coming soon’ and vague language about new technology and improving connection, but no tangible info…makes me think they have not actually released/unveiled their line.
But thanks for posting about it–I’ll definitely keep an eye out. I’m always curious about what new things are happening in the world of saddles (even if I’m not sure I want to be the one to try them out!).
In other confusing news there are AviEr saddles as well…
I rode in an Aviar Rook (their only model) demo this weekend and LOVED it for the following reasons:
I have been around long enough to have seen lots of new trends in saddles come and go, so only time will tell on this new addition.
Interesting assessment. I have one (soon to be two) Lusitanos who are somewhat pony-like in their conformation, only a hand bigger. Also I’m closer to 5’3" but hardly the long legged ideal dressage type. Finally I’m not a spring chicken, so the lighter the better IMO!
Are they available in the US?
Yes, they were released in April.
I watched someone ride in an Aviar prototype a while back. I think the tree is graphite and I agree it is very light! The panel is foam, which apparently horses like better when new compared to wool. Instead of being reflocked, the panels have to be replaced every two years or so. Last I knew it was priced at 7k+ and was doing well in Wellington. I don’t know how much personalization they do with fitting to riders, but the saddle I saw had a flat wide twist which would be problematic for me.
Please let me know if you all have any questions. They are just as personalized as other saddles with options and different blocks. There are other models coming out, and where suppose to have been released. However all of the suppliers are such down due to the virus. Most of the saddlery factories are just now opening back up.
Ps you do not need to replace the panels every 2 years. They should last as long as every other foam panels. They are warranty for 3 years and the tree for 10 years.
Do you know the contact information to find out about a trial?
Of course, please email me at thesaddlefits@gmail.com and tell me where you are located and I will start working on it for you.
