New farm, let's build some stuff

Ah, I’m unsure how to say it in english, but I wish your DH (I guess, this means something husband?) that he soon gets better.

He had a brain fart and reached over a live steam vent. :frowning: his right forearm is pretty much fully burnt, 2nd degree.

Ouch! That has to hurt a LOT; hope he recovers quickly!

It’s a real doozie. It’s all sloughing off bigtime now, I’m going through nonstick pads and gauze and vetwrap and silver sulfadiazine like it’s going out of style.

So sorry. Let your DH know that there’s a whole herd of people wishing him a quick recovery … so that our daily construction updates can resume

There’s things I can still do! I’ve just been working on trimming trees and stuff, as weather permits. No landscaping updates allowed here!

We could start a new thread so we could get some sort of “What’s going on at endlessclimb’s place” fix?

Kidding of course. Wishing your husband a quick recovery and that you’re able to get back to working on your barn before you/we know it.

Anyone is welcome to come over anytime to check it out in person.

I have two of most every tool, so I will put you to work though.

I should be able to get a little more done tonight, the little tiny pieces of insulation at the tops of the walls are not easy to get in there, so there’s more progress in that last picture than meets the eye.

I will admit, I’m getting tired of busting my ass every night, and then having to go to the boarding barn and feign motivation to ride - and the fun is just beginning, as the barn addition and fencing are the critical paths and those still loom ahead.

Welcome to the rest of your farm-owning life… :joy: :joy:

Once it’s all in, I don’t expect the day to day to rise to the level of a 14x60 barn addition, but you’re totally right.

I greatly enjoy being outside and gardening/cleaning/etc, so the daily chores won’t be so bad I hope!

No, there won’t always be big construction projects going, but I can verify that there is always something that needs to be done, and it’s always going to seem more important than riding.
