New farm two pregnant barn kitties. New pics 7/20

I love these! And they loaded a lot faster than some of the others.
Thank you for sharing your kindle with us.
I especially loved the little tabby jumping in and out of the cage – and the second time he cleared it!

It’s like a kitten conga line. "I’ll grab your tail and then she’ll grab my tail and then he’ll grab her tail and … "

OMG!!! In the sleeping video, that tabby in the beginning….with the arms resting on the fuzzy, chubby belly. :heart_eyes_cat:

They are all adorable and they all seem friendly and well-socialized. You’re doing a great job. I also saw that there are some scratches on your hand. I wonder how that happened?

You gotta make a poster of that. That’s just cuteness overload at its best.

I love that they just fall asleep where they wind up and in whatever position. I noticed that in the pile there is one on his back sound asleep with everyone piled on top.

Completely off the subject here but I love your socks! Where did you get them?

Actually, that’s mostly from fencing the goat pasture, lol!

I actually found a set of funny colored knitted type socks on Amazon when we still lived in Florida. Since we were moving north, I figured it was a good idea. I
m sure they are more available in stores here.

I like Albert. Super cute. Unfortunately my cats are dealing with an outbreak of mange (demodex). Thank you Theodore for constantly escaping the house and picking up bugs. Before this we had a flea outbreak. Dipping 4 cats in stinky lime sulfur dip, when they do not want a bath, is a big job. And we have another 5 dips to go.

They are supposed to be indoor cats. Although I think Theodore wants to move in the barn (and I’m tempted to let him). Especially if he keeps bringing home bugs!

Here’s the escape artist.

And here’s my youngest kitten at 7 months

I wish you still lived in Florida. I’d love to have Luke join our tribe. Anybody headed to Ocala in the near future?

Hey, thanks for the great dream! After watching your cuter-than-anything-I’ve-ever-seen videos yesterday, I dreamt that I had to move 24 (!) kittens from one house to another. I don’t exactly know how I know it was 24, but the nameless person handing them to me must have said it.

All I remember is them handing me kitten after kitten and me trying to sneak them into a door while the ones already inside were trying to push back out.

When I woke up, if I had looked in a mirror, I’m sure I would have seen a smile on my face. Thanks! :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s kind of what happened last night. We’re locking the kittens up in their big crate at night. Trying to get them in was so hysterical, now that they are much more coordinated. My son and I were scooping up kittens as fast as we could while others were leaping out. It was like trying to control flowing water.

That would make a cute video!

You CAN shut the crate door once most are corralled and then put the stragglers in with a quick open and close. :smiley_cat: Some will still jump out, but the process goes a bit faster. (Speaking from my years working as a vet tech and at shelters.)

Are you going to call it “The Great Escape,” or “A Dream Come True”?

We tried waiting until they were asleep, but they wake up when they see us. Sweet things. They could stay out, but, for some reason, if they climb the playpen fence to get out, they instantly forget how to get back over.

We’ll try the few at a time method. It kind of worked, but I was so worried about their little paws getting in the way of the door when I opened it so often.

It does require being careful with the door. During the coralling process you could put up a piece of cardboard inside the door to help block the kittens (and their precious toe beans). It’s definitely a challenge dealing with a mob of kittens!!!
