Thank you for posting! That was fun to watch!
are they eating any sort of kibble yet? if so, toss some randomly in the back of the cage when it’s bedtime and that will occupy some/all of them long enough to get the door closed (not on toes).
thank you for sharing that video - I appreciated the laugh.
Shades of the video of the man who found all of those kittens by the side of the road. He had sort of the same problem trying to corral all of them in his truck.
You’re really going to miss them when they’re gone…
They’re nibbling the dry food, but we keep them well fed. Three times a day for wet food mixed with a little dry and free choice dry.
We will, but it is a lot of work. So far, I’m really happy with the indoor homes where they’re going.
They’re about six weeks old now. Is it okay to cut them back to two meals per day, plus the free choice kibble? I want to get them ready for new homes
Probably, “The Great Escape.” Those kittens were fast!
ETA: Sorry. Thought you were talking to me. But @moonlitoaksranch kittens look pretty fast, too!
If you start picking up the free choice kibble after their last round of wet food, then when you give it back at bedtime, it will be a huge draw.
Tho perhaps not as much fun for them as the escape the crate game.
I was thinking that video was the film version of your dream come true.
As fast as you put them in they jump out. The music needs to be that circus music! The whole thing is hilarious - the little dark one that keeps escaping kills me. He runs so fast and looks so pleased with himself.
I pretty much give my foster kittens as much wet food as they want. I mix it with water to make somewhat mushy to help with hydration. They don’t drink as much as I like. Dry food unlimited too. My biggest group was 10. They ate 5+ Cans of wet food a day,
I’m giving these guys 9 cans per day. That gets pricey. We’re cutting them back to 6 and mixing in a little dry food to get them ready for their new homes. Not everyone wants to feed wet food. They do go after the water.
Yeah, easier when a shelter pays for it. They’ll do fine.
OMGosh! Can’t stop laughing with you. It’s exactly like my dream, except a cage instead of a house. I’m going to watch this video about ten times before I go to sleep so I can have another lovely dream. Thanks!
Man they are cute! I would not be able to get anything done!
Han, the kitten pictured above, has seven toes on each front foot and six toes on each back foot. I have to count the other polydactyls…
I so wish I lived closer!
My first pet as a kid was a polydactyl cat. Those huge orange feet are reminding me of that cat.
