I keep freezing up when trying to access the BB. Started after the new design went into operation. It’s hard to get to the index page and even harder to get into thread or post. Don’t know if the slow loading is caused by my ISP or the Chronicle’s server, but it doesn’t happen anywhere else. I will load almost all a page, according to the blue bar at the bottom, but the last ten or fifteen percent takes forever. Was wondering if the new design was optimized for Firefox and Win98SE. This is the slowest the Chronicle has ever been for me in all the years I’ve been around. I’ve given up quite a few times lately since it’s been so very slow to load on my computer. On the other hand, sometimes, it’s as fast as ever, which makes me wonder where the problem is.

Before the new design, if I tried to come back to an uncompleted post, the composition box would remember what I had typed so I didn’t have to start over from scratch. Now, if I try to look something up during composition, I lose the whole content that I’ve already written. Can that be fixed or are we stuck with it?

I no longer have “cut” and “paste” in my right hand menu during composition. Have to do it by “copy” and Control V. I’m sure that’s because I’m using Win98SE, but it’s a PITA. Can anything be done about that?
The total effect of the new design has been more than just aesthetics on my computer experience with the Chronicle.
