New horse glow up

So I bought this sweet boy for his amazing brain. A friend knew about him and insisted that I try him out. I basically had him brought here on the strength of her recommendation (insistence?) and some fuzzy video. I had recently lost my main riding horse tragically and unexpectedly and wasn’t sure that I was even going to get another horse. This is the day after he arrived at my place:

This horse has been a joy to have around the barn and to ride. I am eternally grateful that my friend was relentless about advocating for this horse. I didn’t buy him for his looks, but this is what he looks like today - 2 months later.

I feel like I won the lottery.

Well he’s definitely a cute boy. And his expression has become a whole lot sweeter as well!

What a nice story of things working out!

I bet he thinks he’s won the lottery too!

Congratulations to you both.

What a handsome fella and what a great story! A happy e ding for both of you.

I am so sorry for your loss but your friend knew you needed the void filled. Thankfully she found just the right fella to do that:bouquet::bouquet:

I sort of fell into a companion horse for my 28 yr old when I unexpectedly lost my 26 yr old last February. He is a retired show jumper with impeccable manners. He slid right in to my barn routine with hardly a mis step- also very intelligent.

My brother insists “there are no coincidences “

Hugs and best wishes for many great years for the two of you:innocent::innocent:
