In case anyone else needs any enabling, the Horseware Ireland website’s Black Friday sale looks pretty darn good too:
I’m waffling over whether maresy needs a new 0g now, too. The Rambo Original 0g is $271 and the Rhino Plus 0g is $199 with a hood.

I know. I have been needing to get my blankets organized after washing them over the summer, so after I take stock of what I have I may need to buy some “backups.” Uh huh.
I bought a new Rambo 0g not too long ago for $270 from a tack shop online. So the sale price is good, but I was able to find it for that price well before the HW sale. I will say that it is very hydrophobic and waterproof!
I’m a bit annoyed because horses bum sticks out of the Rambo 75’s a bit, but the 78 100g I have has a huge neck opening and sits back on his shoulders in a weird way. The length of the blanket is good, but I don’t know why the opening is so huge? The v-front closure sits quite low on his chest. Tried a 78 Rambo Wug and it’s too tight oddly my older 75 Wug isn’t as tight in the front and neck. So I don’t know if the cut is just all over the place nowadays or what. Or maybe it’s just my horse. He’s not super small in the neck/chest either.
So I’m looking at other brands for the first time in a long time.
Since I’m already ranting I hate reselling these blankets. Even if they’re new or used and clean. I hate when people say you can make your money back or close to. I’ve never had that experience
I think I’m just doing it wrong!
My supreme didn’t come with waterproofing last year. Adams & Horseware made it right and shipped a Duo. The Duo was absolutely fine, but unfortunately it’s the wrong size for the new horse. Just purchased the Jeffers pet offer, best price to date.
I’m glad you said that. I’m realizing a lot of other online retailers have them for that price plus additional BF discounts, so I can probably pick up one a lot cheaper if I cave.
The Duo from Jeffers pet is glorious. Nicer than the usual quality. They must have improved the thickness.
Soooooo I went to go unpack the blankets I ordered and they sent me a 60". Instead of a 75".
If anyone else has been too wrapped up in Thanksgiving prep and planning to pull the blankets out of the box from Jeffers…check your stuff!
You guys got yours already?!? Mine still says it’s somewhere in Alabama.
Whoa- that almost looks like ripstop? I got a Duo on close out end of season last year but it’s just the regular ballistic material.
Interesting!
Mine arrived…gawd was it Wednesday? It feels like longer ago.
BF24 gets an additional 10% off at Jeffers right now and stacks on the sale price. I was worried that they’d sell out over the weekend so just bought another and will sort it all out later.
Annoying though with temps dropping tonight. I wanted to use these!
That’s the Duo Force right? It is a different fabric. I have one in 50g (which they don’t do anymore—now they are all 100g like the other Duos), and it’s super nice!
I’ve been needing a new 100g though and since so many are sold out in 81, I might just have to go with the Jeffers deal after all.
Yes.
OK I have you Horseware enablers to thank for prompting me to get a Duo from Jeffers for my 2-yo. First thing he did as I was putting it on was to try to grab the shoulder with his teeth and give it a good rip. Hahaha THWARTED in his evil intentions. Couldn’t get a good purchase on it. He soon gave up and has been fine ever since.
So, instead of a youngster learning right off the bat that blankets are toys to be destroyed, thanks to the strength of the fabric he is now on a lifelong path of being a solid citizen, at least blanket-wise.
Before ordering the Duo I went looking on my blanket shelf and found that I apparently already have a brand new 78” 100 g that I bought at some point in the last few years and forgot about. It’s an Amigo so obviously not quite as nice, but I’ve had good luck with them. I’m hoping the waterproofing isn’t bad because it would take some digging to figure out when and where I bought it. I don’t suppose there’s a published range of serial numbers for bad Horseware blankets?
Has everyone’s Jeffers orders shipped? Or are you still waiting?
Mine shipped right away and finally arrived over the weekend.
I ordered mine a week ago, and it has not shipped. It does say in the confirmation email that it will arrive Dec 10 - Dec 13. So it’s not a huge surprise that it hasn’t shipped yet if it’s not expected until then. I know that’s just an estimate though.
I ended up calling. I realized this morning I didn’t receive a tracking and when I looked, it still hadn’t shipped. I ordered over a week ago. Of course, the blanket is now sold out so I’m hoping that it hasn’t over sold (there were plenty of 81s available when I ordered).
Anyway, they did send a message to the warehouse to get mine shipped out and the customer service rep seemed surprised that it hadn’t shipped. Hopefully it’ll got out today now.
Nothing that I ordered last week or on the weekend (horse related or not, including Chewy autoships) has shipped except for Dapper Horse, who shipped right away and I already have those items. If you don’t know that tack shop based out of NY, I highly recommend them! I am also worried that Jeffers oversold on the blankets …As my horses have been bathing in mud all week with more snow on the way next week.
The blankets I ordered on Nov 22 arrived on Nov 27 (but one was the wrong size.)
The replacement I ordered on Nov 29 doesn’t look like it’s been shipped, and has an estimated delivery date of Dec 11-16.
If anyone is waiting for a 60" I’m getting that back to them today
