New saddle fun (Bruno Delgrange)!

Hi all! This is my first post on the chronicle! Which is funny because I have scrolled here for years.
I just recently purchased a custom Bruno Delgrange saddle after riding in CWD for many years. I finally decided to go a different direction. I have a special TB gelding who I do the A/O hunters with. I just wanted to post on here and hear what people had to say about their BD saddles! I went with the virtuose with lizard skin on the logo (so fun). How long did your saddle take to come in and did you go with a fun color on the flap? Or anything else you want to comment about what you like about your saddle.

I’m also looking at moving from a CWD to a Bruno! I’ve been riding in my trainer’s saddle and I actually prefer it to mine. How are you liking yours so far? If you don’t mind me asking, how much did a new custom Bruno run you? I was hoping they’d be a tad less than the custom CWDs at $10k+ CAD…

Hey! I’m definitely glad I made the switch! It is an insanely comfortable saddle! It’s very comfortable and close contact. I will say I think the seat runs big and the width runs wider than normal. I got a MW and it’s a touch too wide for my guy. I’m in Tennessee so it ran me $6450 all in (tax, shipping, production, etc.). I put down $2000 in July when I ordered and then the remaining in November when it was ready. I’m not sure what the equivalent in CAD is but I thought the cost of the Bruno’s was MUCH more reasonable and a lot more quality of a saddle. Hope this helps and let me know if I can help answer anything else!

Wendy, our rep in Ontario, is a lovely lady. I bought a saddle from her near the end of 2018 and it was a great experience. I can’t remember if it was 12 or 16 weeks until delivery. It was $6600 way back then so I imagine the cost has gone up with inflation.

I no longer have the horse I purchased it for, but can’t bring myself to sell it so it is currently sitting in a closet. It is a beautiful saddle.
