New stirrups that won’t break the bank?

So I have had the same stirrups on my dressage and jump saddle for 15-20 years! I have changed saddles and horses a few times… just not stirrups.
I would like new ones, although I am used to my present ones and my body would probably go into shock, but still , it’s time. Any that are just sensible and comfortable that don’t break the bank? I have seen some fancy gold ones that are quite lovely!!! Not sure I am that brave though.

There are so many options now and it really depends on what you want! Maybe see if you can borrow some and try them first to narrow things down? Personally these are my current favorites and they are definitely affordable. https://www.horseloverz.com/english-horse-tack/stirrups-stirrup-irons/other-stirrups/jacks-aluminum-stirrups-4-34

I like these: https://www.smartpakequine.com/pt/compositi-reflex-3d-swivel-action-wide-track-stirrups-21558?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=NB_Shopping_Tack_DSK_3P&utm_campaign=NB_Tack+>+Stirrup_Irons_Stirrup_Leathers_DSK__3P&gclid=CjwKCAjw4KyJBhAbEiwAaAQbEw3e4mOdMs4bhbdo-EYtVD0GcO3BnzWaSt264j8sI_Y8OlSkPtuskRoCxEMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds. The wide footbed is comfortable and supportive, and the spring panel only gives a little for joint support.

Cool! Thank you both. I will take a look

Of the cheaper ones compositi or really any plastic wide bed stirrups are so much better than the regular irons. I’m a young, healthy person with a normal BMI, no joint issues etc. and the wide beds are just so much easier on my ankles even if before I wasn’t complaining with the regular irons.
I have a pair of plastic wide bed stirrups on my dressage saddle and Jins on my jumping saddle. I like them both, and almost prefer the cheaper plastic ones especially in winter, but a word of caution against any plastic stirrup is that they can and do break, so you’ll need to replace them more frequently. I fully expect my JINs to last a lifetime, and to have to replace the plastic stirrups after a few seasons, hence why I put my plastic ones on the dressage saddle and the metal ones on the jumping saddle so that if the plastic does snap it minimizes the risk of a disaster.

Thank you tohorse that is very helpful! I am an old mostly in good shape person with a normal BMI, so hopefully your experience and mine will be similar!
