Charming article on a traditional hunt tailor in middle England in this morning’s Remodelista, here:
Very interesting! Thanks for posting! I’m jealous of whomever the tweed is for! Looks amazing!
That’s tweed?
Most of my family lives in Market Harborough and I visited there a while back. None of them are horsey though and I’ve never noticed this shop (though I was 16 and not really looking for anything horsey). It is a beautiful small town. I loved it Neat article too, thanks for sharing! Such beautiful coats…
Uh-oh - those Remodelista girls must be on a roll today: now they’ve got a story on Horace Batten boots (which are deeevine):

Next up, I predict Patey bunnets, lol.
vineyridge - the sixth image does look like a dark herringbone tweed, yes. The earlier one looks more like Melton or similar.
One can assume that the piece of tack called a Market Harborough (German martingale) was first used by a fella from MH?
Must be the quality of my video.
Is this a US site? Reason I asked is that the author says there is a foxhunting ban in England. There is definitely a foxchasing and killing ban at the moment, but hunting still goes on and seems to be flourishing.
I chuckle at what this Kendra considers a quality boot shine.
Uhh, no. That’s not it.
And the comments in her articles are enough to make a man return his dinner.
