Every time Sarah Susa posts an editorial about her barn, I think that’s the kind of place where every horse-crazy child should get their start.

Well… 60+yrs ago that’s exactly how horse crazy me got started.
Looking back, I recall the Summer Camp where we were taught to muck, feed, braid, bathe, clean tack, etc. Riding not always included in the day’s work.
Our parents were paying for us to do the work of stablehands & we were thrilled to do it!
It makes me incredibly happy to read about a place today, still making real horsewomen out of those kids like me
