Nice, fun, schooling tall boots?

So, my Ariat schooling boots finally died. My pinky toe is peeking out the side of the boot. Duct tape will no longer help.
I’m looking for a fun schooling boot for at home riding. Must be a tall boot. Would love brown, or sparkly, weird colors, etc - basically the type of boot I would get gasps if I wore into the hunter ring. Under $500-600. Europe seems to have a lot, (I found a sparkly crocodile leather one) but I’m worried about shipping if the boot doesn’t fit.
I already have the mountain horse brown boot for the jumper ring so preferably not that.
Suggestions?

I love my Tredstep Donatellos for a classic hunter boot! If you’re looking for something more flashy, I know that Der Dau has some.

Yeah, I want like the opposite of that 😂
I have two pairs of black hunter boots and a brown pair. I want something crazy

Okay, this is totally out there, and probably an odd website, but; it has some pretty funky boots!

That’s probably all I can offer as a very traditional hunter rider!
Good luck on your search!

I was looking at the Mountain Horse website, they had nothing freaky but certainly some interesting options in the sovereign line.
There’s more fun to be had in the winter bit lines, rather than summer, sadly…

LM is totally custom and has a bunch of fun options. Mine were about $675 shipped, so a little over budget but a great price for customs. They sales pretty often during the year.

I was about to suggest LM too. My trainer just got an awesome pair with crazy red piping and some kind of different leather as edging on the top.

Are their reviews better now? I like the price point but I’ve heard many horror stories

Have you (or any one else) ordered from here? Those blue boots 😍

DeNiro has some pretty outrageous options you can add to their boots. I got mine in Europe, fully custom, and I want to say they were around $800 USD including an added pattern on the top. If you’re comfortable measuring yourself, might be an option to order from a European dealer.

I think 800 is a bit more than I want to spend for schooling boots, but maybe a good option for my next show boots

Celeris and Derby boots both come in whacky and fun colours. The softer boots are around your budget too.

We might have a winner here! There is a PURPLE celeris boot!

DeNiro makes semi-custom Salentos and Salentinos for $400-600. I think they have a number of base leather options plus piping, glitter tops, croc toe caps, etc.
Ask me how I know…I have brown croc with pink piping for schooling boots

Mine are thru WB Equiline in the UK. Many options in the UK.

For your boot with the toe sticking out…what about those rubber foot covers? I had a pair of paddock boots in high school that were only in “one” piece thanks to those. Once I took them off the boots basically disintegrated.

Anyway Celeris boots are on my someday list, I’ve touched them in person once at Rolex (Land Rover…whatever) and they use really nice, thick leather. I feel like they would hold up well. Their instagram is like crack for me, someone had a pair of PURPLE SUEDE made and I died a little inside.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease post a pic! These sound right up my alley!

I’ll look into these too! So many options…

I was going to throw in a vote for DeNiro too. I’ve seen some really beautiful ones with piping, embellishment, croc top, etc. Please come back and show us pics of what you get. Especially if it has crocodile or snakeskin. I’m a sucker.

I will!

I had a fantastic experience end of 2019, and I will probably order a second pair of fun boots in the coming months, FWIW
