Okay it has taken awhile for me to get used to the flat tack look after the hunter/jumper ring. Wanted to purchase one for next year. Any thoughts on what bridles are good ones that will hold up over the years?
Thanks

I got one from Smith-Worthington about a year ago, and have been pleased with its quality for the price.
I’ve been very happy with the Amish made hunt bridles from Bartville Harness. They don’t have a website but you can call and request a catalog Mon thru Friday 8am-8:15am or anytime Mon thru Sat to leave a message. I simply wrote and requested a catalog. 717-529-6992

The bridles are under $100 and they also make braided thongs for hunt whips and a very nice sandwich case.
I love all my stuf from Bartville. Great prices and the stuff lasts!
Triple ditto Bartville. I gave Levi the measurements for my hony’s head and he took parts from the horse and cob sizes and sent a bridle that fit her without any additional adjustments needed.
I have the thong and sandwich case too and he made me a wire cutter case that is.to.die.for.
Thanks everyone. I will check out Bartville as everyone had positive things to say.
Some nice ones here;

I don’t own hunt tack from Bartville, but I do own other bits and pieces from them and they’re the best. Top-of-the-line quality and prices that can’t be beat!
Another vote for Bartville.
I also love Bartville, Have been shopping there for about 15 years! They can also customize everything you want also. I am having them make me extra long reins for sidesaddle and a triple fold girth. They also have really nice breastplates that make there hunt bridles! Also there halters are to die for at Great prices!
Bartsville’s stuff is very nice. I have a flat Courbette hunt bridle which is also very nice, and a bit finer (but still fairly heavy and strong), which you might like if you’re used to thinner raised tack.

Did you send in your wire cutters, or did they just make you a case sight unseen? I want one
If price matters…
I got a nice one from Dover Saddlery’s catalog I think it was ; I never shop them but the price caught my eye. It’s called Paris Tack Hunt Bridle and it’s made in Australia of nice substantial leather. 1 inch wide noseband AND they come in Oversized which fit my draft crosses and looked perfect. And for less than $80. Sometimes they go on sale for around $60!!! The reins are 5/8 wide I think. Good deal imho!

I don’t think they carry this one anymore. The only “hunt Bridles” I could find were $219 and up! You got a steal!
Uh…
Maybe it was Stateline!???
Shhheeeeesh, I hate my Alzhiemers!!
Found it!
Ah yes, WG - Stateline!

So the quality is decent? It is on sale right now, but I think I want to wait for my bartville catalog to come in the mail. Then I can decide if want to go with Stateline or theirs.
Can anybody post a pic of the wire cutters from Bartville?
Anybody who is looking for nice OS hunt bridles take a look on ebay under the seller horseantiques. There is a bartville oversize hunt bridle for cheap with 1 day left. I already have one or would be bidding:D
I received the Bartville catalog today and their prices are very reasonable. I would hazard a guess that the slightly higher price for their craftsmanship would be worth the use you would get out of their items, vs saving a little money purchasing something cheaper through SLT. IMO

Thank you for enabling me- I just won it for 51.00.
jmho!
Yes I think the Paris Tack is good quality ie: small pores on the underside like english leather. Not large like Indian/Romanian etc. I DO think the Havana color is a bit odd. Doesn’t quite match the brown on my one bay mare who’s kinda reddish. I’d have gotten the chestnut for her I think. It did not change color hardly after initial oiling lightly; maybe a touch darker. The tack is thicker too. Substantial like I imagine hunting tack should be. Hey!! For that money; if it lasts a few years…worth it!!!
Besides…I’m cheap. Fit my halfbred perch/qh perfectly, absolutely perfectly. The OS I mean.
