Does anyone know of any really nice bridle leather dog collars out there? Or just any nice leather collars? I used to get beautiful ones at big shows but am now and probably forever more horseless, so less access to any hidden gem vendors. I’d appreciate any leads-thanks!
www.gundogsupply.com has the most reasonable priced leather collars and leads.
I have repeatively ordered the k-9 comfort 3/4 leather collar for my coonhound and bassett hound. Collar comes with a brass plate, too. And fast service.
I second Gun Dog Supply. Their ID tags are cheap and have room for name, address, and two phone numbers. I have a dog who would be dead right now if she weren’t wearing a collar with my cell phone number on it. (Neighbors called when she got into a fight with a new rescue dog we had.)
I just bought a little collar for my chihuahua from these people. The collar is thick and appears very well-made.

Edited to add that I got a bridle plate from SmartPak for the 1/2 inch collar on the chihuahua. Two lines of type fit on the plate, allowing for dog’s name, phone number, and street address.
Haven’t lost one yet!

TheOtherHorse, you beat me to it…Quillin.
I recently got a nice raised/fancy stitched leather Edgewood collar with brass nameplate as a gift for a friend('s dog  ), and was very pleased with the quality.

That was my thought as well
Just saw nice ones at the local shop that were made by Tory. They were made from bridle leather. Going back for one when I have the pup with me.
Clever with Leather. They have a nice brass plate with name and phone on it.
Google them. Great halters, too.
Thanks so much, everyone! I will check out all suggestions. Since losing my last horse several years ago at age 32, I’ve been unable to indulge my horsie-decorating streak, and getting nice and unique leather collars and cool coats for my Jacks-stopping short of dressing the Labs- is my only outlet-they are truly better attired than their mammy…
Smartpak has a nice variety, including some with variety of colored leather trim.

I bought one of these for my dog for Christmas and I love it! It’s a really nice collar and she looks sharp with her fuscia leather trim:winkgrin: I’m planning to buy one for my two boy dogs too.
Browbands by Design makes beautiful leather collars with bling. Well-made and sturdy, too.

I love this collar. It’s nice leather and brass and looks fabulous on our red Dobe girl
I don’t know how fancy you want, but…
We got these braided collars for my two dogs. They are MUCH more durable then they look. They quickly suppled up and are now gorgeous, soft leather collars that look great. We get lots of compliments. If these ever die (which I doubt) I would buy more in a heartbeat. The ring on the top is a nice touch for leash walking.

I got the raised leather collar from SmartPak with a brass name plate. It’s very pretty and has held up well.
