Nice very dark green hunter show coat? Recommendations please!

After years of having chestnuts, I have a grey, and he’s almost white. I always wore navy show coats for the chestnuts, but would like to go with green on my grey boy. Any recommendations for one that is a really dark conservative green? Want technical fabric but traditional – so no zippered pockets or contrast collars. Thank you!

Here’s his picture – let me know if you think green is wrong for him  He’s an absolute love for me at my age of 66!

Look at the RJ Classics options, they make several nice dark green options. Can’t remember what style mine is but I love it.

I have an RJ Classics Nora Soft Shell coat in Hunter Green and an Alessandro Albanese Motion Lite in Hunter Green. I like the Motion Lite one much better. It’s a darker green. I first noticed this one on a fellow competitor exiting the ring as I was going in and was drawn to the darker color. Note: the little lapel pin IS removable.

Careful when ordering, though. Some sites have the Motion Lite jacket with contrasting lapel colors; make sure you’re ordering the solid colored one. It’s lightweight and stretchy. I love it so much, I have this jacket in two different colors.

I just got an RJ Classics Nora in a deep hunter green. It almost looks black from a distance. It was on sale for $125 at smartpak

The RJs are super nice, and I also have a Grand Prix that’s nice and dark. Fits beautifully and has held up great!

I will second the AA motion lite. It is AMAZING. Light, breathable, washable, and not too expensive. It’s a beautiful dark green color. I ride and show a grey and looks lovely with her.

A grey horse can wear any color, just like a black horse.

I also suggest the RJ Classics Nora. Modern material with traditional 3 buttons but also has a hidden zipper.

Thank you everyone. I had so much trouble deciding between the AA Motion Lite and the RJ Classics Nora. I think it was a great price on the Nora that swayed me. $180. I think there are a few left. https://vod.ebay.com/vod/FetchOrderD…&ul_noapp=true

But darn, maybe I’ll want the Motion Lite too for summers. Such a pretty dark green.

Interesting, I always thought of green as THE color for a chestnut. I would think blue would be very nice for a grey/white horse. HOWEVER I also encourage you to do whatever you like! Have a blast!!!
