Nightly Maintenance or ?? Trouble Accessing Forums Last Few Nights

I’m a night owl so I often read COTH late but the last few nights, I’ve had trouble getting on. It starts saying stuff about scaffolding and rebuild in the address bar, and eventually I get an error that says there are too many redirects. This is using Safari on iPad and MacBook. Happens around 11 pm Pacific, and seems to last awhile as I usually give up and don’t check again until morning, when it is fine.

I was thinking there might be some nightly maintenance going on, but haven’t seen a mention on the Help Forum, so thought I’d post and see if it is somehow just me?! I’m pretty sure it has happened the last three nights and maybe even more…can’t recall for sure as I just thought it was a one time thing at first. Anyway, wondering if others have encountered this or if there is any scheduled maintenance going on? Now that I posted, watch, it won’t happen again!

Just coming back to say that since posting this, it never happened again. Figures. Guess I should have posted sooner, since that seems to be the solution!:lol: So disregard.

:lol: Sorry I didn’t answer you earlier! I haven’t heard about any major maintenance going on, but they are working on implementing a universal log-in system for the forums and main site, so maybe there was something related to that.

Well, it did happen again tonight. Just a brief period around 11 PM where I couldn’t get on the site at all. The address bar says something about scaffolding, then I get an error saying the page won’t lad due to too many redirects. I gave up after a couple of tries, then came back later (now) and it loaded fine. On my ipad using safari tonight.

I don’t get the scaffolding (or any other) messages BUT do find that response may be slow to non-existent rather frequently in the wee hours of the morning; definitely more of an issue since the upgrade.
Sometimes the downtime is very short, other times not so much …

I just had the same issue here this morning. Screen shot showing the address bar included below. I ony tried on my ipad so maybe it is an issue at my end? Bizarre.
