I wonder if anyone protested the win on those grounds, though it would be difficult to claim it as an unfair advantage.

Would this be a legal win? Couldn’t the weights have fallen out of the saddle pad or so they not use those any more?
The jockey would still have to weigh out with the saddlery post race, so it must have been OK, if indeed the win was confirmed.
