I have an Irish Draught mare that comes from a long line of hunt horses that I would like to put in a sales barn that can get her out hunting to see if we can expand her market. I am near Gettysburg and would like to keep her somewhat local so open to Leesburg area, Mont. County, Carrol County, Adams or York counties in PA. Any suggestions?
Riot Farm in Hume, Va. Bonnie Barr Briggs specializes in just that, and does especially well with mares. Google her but I think her website is RiotFarm.com or something similar.
Tell her I recommended her. : ) Riot Farm is just across the river from Hunter’s Rest. <3<3<3
I second Bonnie Barr-Briggs - www.riotfarm.com - very good at introducing horses to hunting, communicates well and honestly - highly recommended.
Three’ s a charm!
I’ ll make that a third for Bonnie. I’ ve known her for 25 years. She is a great horsewoman and a fair and honest business person. She helped with the layup and rehabbing of a youngster of mine not long ago.
Another sage opinion
Ok, Now I know it isn’t fair to pile on a star, but…:uhoh:
Bonnie is Excellent!
She is well trained and keeps learning more… I saw her do a lovely job with a young cleveland bay x tb filly at the Jim Wofford clinic yesterday.
