I’ve been hankering after some practical leather boots that are suitable for general country/horse stuff, but also brush up well enough to wear to spectate at shows and clinics. Country boots here just do not appeal, they either have zippers (no thanks, always manage to break them!) or are Dubarrys/Dubarry knock offs which don’t float my boat.
Some of the cowboy boots you guys have in the US are gorgeous! SO much nicer than anything we have here, and the quality looks better too.
I’ve been browsing on Sheplers, but when reading reviews, someone said they incurred additional courier charges, which they were only told about on delivery, of £30. (on top of the flat rate $39 international shipping) I don’t think this is Shepler’s fault, but it’s not really something I want to go through. If I knew shipping upfront I could make a decision about whether it was worth it (and there are some bargains on that site so it may be!) but I don’t want some arbitrary sum sprung on me after I thought I’d paid in full.
So any non-US western people, where do you you get your boots?
