Hey NorCal homies-- can any of you tell me where to send a 13-year-old kid when she has gotten all she can from lessons at Webb Ranch?
I haven’t lived in the Bay Area for a long time, so I’m out of the loop.
Many thanks!

Isola stables at Glen oaks in Portola valley, has a good lesson program, and is a Pony Club center, and is set up so that you do not need your own horse. I think it’s a great option.

There are also a couple of lesson programs at the Portola Valley Training Center. More advanced horses for jumping and showing.

Vintage Lane also has a Pony Club program.

There are a mountain of options at Woodside Horse Park which is only about a 6 minute drive from where she’s currently taking lessons. John Robertson of Sydney Harbor is more of an Eventer than a H/J guy but is a great teacher and an excellent confidence builder. He’s certainly worth a call!
Very good lesson and leasing programs at McIntosh Stables at Portola Valley Training Center
Bridgeport Farms located around the corner at Rancho Viejo. A great small program with excellent instruction.
John Robertson- thin Australian guy, does event/pony club? If so, I think he trained at my barn for a while. If it is the same guy, I would steer clear.
Just from my interactions with and observations of McIntosh Stables and Isola Stables at horse shows, they’re good. Love Toni McIntosh and her husband is great too.
