North American Studbook/Spy Coast Farm – 2011 Young Horse Show Series

Greetings Everyone,
Welcome to our official information thread. We are here to provide support and update information, as well as answer questions regarding the North American Studbook (NAS) and the Young Horse Show Series that will initially be held in
Wellington, Florida at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival.

We are extremely excited to offer this unique opportunity to North American sporthorse breeders as a venue to showcase the quality of young horses that are being produced for all disciplines, as well provide an avenue to increase potential sales and offer valuable information for continued education of our fellow sporthorse breeders. We also feel that it is important to keep this series affordable (while still offering a great value), which allows for increased participation for many sporthorse breeders that may not otherwise be able to show.

The judges are carefully selected, based on their expertise in a multitude of disciplines that include, Hunters, Jumpers, Dressage and Eventing, and each class will be judged by both judges.

The Florida venue will kick off the 2011 series and we will be adding more shows in various locations to allow for a larger amount of sporthorse breeders an opportunity to participate. At this time we are currently working on Young Horse Shows in Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, New England and the West Coast – the Finals will be in Florida. As we have things confirmed, we will update our website and provide information in this forum.

We encourage everyone to check out our website:

We would like to thank everyone again for their enthusiasm and participation in this first show of the series and look forward to continuing the wonderful momentum in the coming months.

Horses highlighted in blue have qualified for the 2011 YHS Championship final in December, 2011.

All end of year championship-qualified horses are welcome to compete again in the remaining shows in the series and we encourage horses that did not qualify for the end of year championship in the first show to compete again, as this will help provide experience and build a foundations for these young horses in the future.

Congratulations to all of the horses, their owners and breeders, especially those who have qualified for the 2011 YHS Championship.

Special thanks and congratulations to Marabet Farm for their large entry support and and for their outstanding results.

The first show was a great success. We will carefully review all comments and feedback so we can improve all aspects of the event. Our goal is to make this show as safe, inviting, educational and competitive as possible without losing the sight of the best interest of each young horse, their owner(s) and breeders.
