Anyone live in Northern New Mexico? More specifically Los Alamos area? Possible new job for DH so maybe a move in the future. Hows the horse scene? places to ride? Cost of living? Horse care issues like farriers, vets etc? Anything else?
Los Alamos has a boarding facility for people living there, there are no horse properties in Los Alamos proper. You can google it to see what it’s like. I know Santa Fe has some boarding facilities not sure what’s on the Los Alamos side if you plan to live there, lots commute from Santa Fe though but housing and rent is expensive. Used to be a boarding place in Espanola but it was sold, don’t know what’s there now and I would not recommend living in Espanola (I’m from there originally). I think the boarding facility in Los Alamos holds horse shows and there are shows in Santa Fe and ABQ. Equine Vets in Santa Fe, one clinic and clinics in ABQ.
