I believe no drivers or horses were hurt, thank goodness.
Scary for sure… glad it looks like everyone was ok.
It does happen - could be metal fatigue, a bad weld, or, like any other piece of equipment, a flaw that doesn’t show in the factory.
ouch. good thing it happened so late in the race; if everyone had been bunched up it could have been a pileup.
