I need to make the noseband on my black bridle about an inch of two longer. It is a standard noseband. Has anyone heard of or seen “noseband extenders”?
No but I bet a cobbler could make you one. It would probably be cheaper too if it didn’t come from a horse store!
I’m having a new strap made for my crank bridle as it’s too short for my new mare. The leather worker (not a cobbler by trade - solely does leather work and not shoes) offered to splice the piece to extend it. I ended up just getting a new one in the right size, but extension is an option if you find someone capable.

I also bet it would be possible to have something made, but probably faster and cheaper to purchase a new nose band
I once had a horse in training that came with an extra piece of leather on his noseband to accomplish this. It looked like part of a leather dog collar. They attached the dog collar via the buckle and voila had a longer noseband. (So the noseband had a 2 buckles.) Not very elegant but it did the job.
This is a brilliant idea and would solve the problem I have buying a bridle for my blocky headed horse.
Now to see if I can find someone around here that would make this piece.
