Cats in a Finnish Village Have a Coat Pattern That’s Never Been Seen Before
That’s very cool!
There’s a breed of domestic rabbit with very similar coloration, but I can’t think of the name offhand.
ETA: Found it—the Silver Fox Rabbit.
A blue roan cat! How cool. I hope there is not a cat color breeding craze. None of the kitties dumped here are anything besides Heinz 57 common coat colors.
I just want to point out that the rabbit in the photo you posted is not a Silver Fox. They are a lovely black ALL over with silver ticking evenly throughout the coat. They can also come in chocolate, blue and lilac with a few other colors being out there but not widely recognized. What you posted looks like a Silver Martin with the white facial markings and white inside of the ears.
Oh, well… that’s what I get for Google Imaging “Silver Fox rabbit” after first Google Imaging “rabbit with black hair and white ticking”!
Interesting cat story. Thanks for posting.
‘Cats typically come in two colors: black and orange.’ I did not know this, but where do white cats fit in this scenario?
The picture in the article didn’t show me enough cat so I had to google them. Saw lots of other pictures, but I was really looking for conformation pics, so I could get a good idea of the cat, from all sides.
Those are the atypical ones
