I was at “my” local Aldi (there are four near me and I am kind of in the center so easily could go to any, but I like the staff at this one) to pick up some more iced oatmeal cookies for the forty plus year old pony (Charlie) we have… he will not eat his feed without some cookies. I noticed the staff was really busy (they are always anyway) and they are always so personable/helpful to any one.
Over the years I have come to know the manager because she asked one day what I bought so many cookies…explained about the pony and the apples are for the horses …so she knew why was always there.
But last week I noticed they were really busy, I pulled the manager aside she just said they were BUSY… so I handed her lunch money for the staff, no big deal as they always are so helpful and at times have saved damaged fruits for the horses.
Yesterday was another cookie run for Charlie the pony (pig ate all the stock) … I had gotten his eight packs of iced oatmeal cookies when the manager said wait we have something for “the goats and horses” and that was where the three crates of vegs/fruits came from
