Not receiving thread notifications

My Glitch Whine:

I have subcribed to several threads, but I do not receive notifications of new postings on ANY of them.

Also, I created an alter for some of the upcoming Christmas fun and I cannot use it. I have logged off my normal username “Whoanellie”, but when I try to log on using my alter it still comes up “Whoanellie”.

I just checked in our “junk” folder and serendipitously, the first message I opened was an undeliverable notification to your account. For some reason, the messages are being bounced back to our system. Could you please check to be sure that the email address you have listed with your account is a good one.

We had another user having trouble logging out to use her Secret Santa alter and she had to clear the Chronicle cookies from her cache. I haven’t heard that she’s had trouble switching back and forth since then, so hopefully that’s something you’d only have to do once.

Please let us know, here or via a PM, how the above works out for you.

I get notifications on a couple of threads, but there are new posts every day to threads I am subscribed to, that I don’t get notifications for. These are not always the same threads, either for the receiving ones, or not.

Hi FHC ~

Have you double checked your thread subscription list to be sure you’re signed up for the desired notification interval (instant, daily, etc.) on all the threads?

Just want to help work out the issue by process of elimination–thanks!

Just a general FYI, it looks like those with earthlink.net email addresses on their accounts may be having problems receiving communications from our system as they’re being blocked by earthlink. We’re in the process of contacting them to resolve it.
