They are fantastic examples of the breed. But “refined” isn’t what I’d call them. And “sturdy refinement” means she is not looking like a pixie-stick dainty Arabian.
Yeah, she almost had to be pretty. Lol.
Definitely a working western baby, through and through. The sire side needs no introduction, as you mentioned. Here’s an adorable video of her maternal grandsire doing a freestyle reining pattern with a youth rider several years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3zx…bFYZvsG9T8OYx4. Athleticism and brains were my two primary goals, and pretty was a definite bonus. I’m more than pleased with the results!
CMK Arabs aren’t the airy fairy type. They are built like Arabs are supposed to be.
Yes, I know. I guess my point was entirely missed. Refined. Not stock type. But the refinement of the Arabian did not take away the sturdiness of the QH. An Arab isn’t going to look like a QH, not even CMK/Crabbet-bred. And a QH isn’t supposed to look like an Arabian. Best of both worlds.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!
