OK, ok, maybe you would like , instead of . ? Here we put it down like that instead of writing 130 cm or 4.2 ft?

Anyway, I’m home just now after nearly 10 hours on wheels. We went nearly there and then car gave up. Dead. Good job trailer was empty. So until we found somebody who can take over the trailer and continue the operation, we were sat on the edge of the highway looking at the smoke coming out of the boot. Then we went to the place, picked up the first horse (Gamma is very sweet and nice), went to another place, picked up the other horse (Sheriff) and drove home already in the complete dark. The parents and little girl were waiting at our stable to greet and meet the new horse, a lot of happy tears and everybody is really happy now.

But I’m too tired to do any pictures, so they will be added tomorrow. Sorry.

Sheriff is what we call American trotting horse - nice, sparky little horse, hardly 16 h at withers. He loaded well, and accepted all the love instantly at the new place. So he is a great match, really. Mother is not frightened of him so much because he looks so small in comparison with ours, and he has his winter coat on - so feels like a fluffy soft toy  He will be very loved and little girl Eva is ecstatic about him - she went straight in the box, put her little hands around his neck and just stood, face to his neck while he was checking her pockets for treats. Now everybody is in their beds, munching hay after long journey and feel contented. It is nearly 10 pm here and I’m waiting for our dinner now

This is Sheriff (the old boy, Standardbred or as we call them - American trotting horse. He has quite a lot gray patches now, looks a bit untidy, but it is how his coloring is now)

(this is one wing out of 3, our barn is T shape, and this is one side of the T top horizontal line), other side and vertical line are still empty

Here in front is the stallion Daggy, and in the next box is Puika.

So, here is promised Sheriff’s trip home

It looks a little cold there !
And very flat.

130 cm = 1.30 m = 4.2 ft

Heartwarming pictures. I hope Eva and her family will enjoy Sheriff for a long time. He looks like he will eat up/drink up all the love…

To Puika’s fans - it was dark and rainy day so no nice pictures but at least something - he is still a big goofy boy

Hello AnnaCrew. I found this thread and read the whole thing over the last few days. I have to say that I just love you and Peter for your devotion to all your rescues. You have learned so much and helped these horses (and dogs, storks, swans…) beyond measure. I check in every day to see how you all are doing!

Wow! AnnaCrew, I must say you truly are an inspiration and I just wish the world had more people like you and Peter in it! I discovered your post yesterday and read it all last night and today, stayed up much too late to read but I was just so engrossed by your amazing story! I absolutely love you and all of your horses. You are an amazing woman and I hope I too can someday do as much good for this world as you have. Please give all the horses some cuddles and kisses from me (and all of COTH I am sure)!

P.S- I might show up at your place one day, ready to work and love on your horses  Maybe if I stay long enough you will adopt me too!

Our princess girl is having colics - seems it colon impaction. Vet has been with many times. But now it is 28 hours and no success so far. She is not getting worse but not getting better despite all vet efforts. If not tonight, she will go to hospital tomorrow morning for surgery.
