Nutrena Penfield Fibergized becoming Legends Fibergized?

Does anyone know what’s going on with this? My feed store doesn’t even know that this is happening, never mind knowing how long the Nutrena version will be available or if the recipe will be the same.

They just keep insisting it isn’t true and trying to convince me to try other grains that are in no way similar.

Yes, this is the change. Most likely the formula will be upgraded a bit. I don’t know if it’s already changed, and any Penfield out there is still older inventory, or if the change hasn’t happened yet.

You can call Nutrena and ask them about the date.

This might explain why the feed became SO HARD TO FIND and no one would give the feed store a square answer. This is the only feed I’ve found for my horse with allergies. I’ll be back to square one if they change the ingredients

Ahhhh. I just came here to see if anyone was talking about Nutrena. I was a big ProForce Fiber fan, I had a 25yo who was doing GREAT on it. They discontinued that so I went with the Fibregized. Two weeks ago, Fibregized is out of stock so I took home the Pro Elite Senior. Now that too is out of stock.

If this is yet another product line switch and not some sort of distribution issue I’m going to be a little irritated.

It’s no longer under the Nutrena label. :unamused: It’s going to be under the Legend’s label, instead. They have changed the formula at least a little, in that they have added some sort of Legend’s specific gastric support blend. I forget all of the details on that.

Either way, I think I’m going to switch to the Fiberenergy from Hallway. I’ve never been very impressed with Southern States products. Hallway is a similar price (in my area, at least), they only mill equine feeds, and they work closely with KER (who designed the original Pennfield Fibergized).
