I’ll be in Ocala next week and would love to know which tack stores I should check out. Also, any other horse related activities. Already planning on going to WEC and the horse park.

Hi Welcome to Ocala! Tack Shack of Ocala is on 60th across from the Airport (close to WEC). Be sure to go to the Western side - thats where the discount racks are! Just down the road from there is Good Apple Equine Consignment (Same side of the road, at the next corner, near the Farrier Supply and the Fed X ). Great folks and great items, some new. There are also some tack shops out at WEC, be sure to stop in I Love My Horse, she has great items, and Exceptional Equestrian, they have those wonderful beaded items from Kenya. Farmhouse Tack is also out there. A few miles away, at the intersection of 75 and 484, Country Lane has a nice but small selection of PRI Saddle pads. If you are looking for supplies other than tack, I’ll make a second post.

My trainer goes to Ocala for a month or so every winter, so we’re checking it out to possibly go and train with her next year. It would be nice to get out of the cold for a while.
