OCTOBER 6, 2012, Magic Rose Farm in New Oxford, PA (near Gettysburg) will host a BREEDERS SEMINAR AND YOUNG BREEDERS TEAM WORKSHOP.
This regionally held Seminar is designed to solicit team members for the AWR teams of the future. The Seminar will prepare the Young Breeder’s team for international competition, provide a training ground for AWR/NASPR judges, and create a Continuing Education Series for breeders of all ages.
The Breeders Seminar is OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
Topics will include but are not limited to -
-Presentation and Evaluation of the Young Horse for Inspection & Sporthorse In-hand competition
-Presentation and Evaluation of the Mature Horse for Inspection & Sporthorse In-hand competition
-Breeding Theory – breeding, nutrition, management, sport
Details
A maximum of 20 participants will be accepted. All participants are invited to submit horses for various sections of the seminar. If you cannot provide your own horse, the Host Farm will offer a suitable in-hand partner at no additional charge. Horses are needed for In-hand for disciplines of Dressage, Hunter and Jumper. Priority will be given to members of the YBTeam and Judging Applicants. Stabling is available at a minimal cost by the Host Farm. Lunch, drinks, and snacks will be available throughout the day.
Fees:
Participant - with or without own horse $100 members, $150 non-members
Auditor -$ 50 per day (membership not required)
