ODG

I’ve decided ODG stands for “opinionated dressage geek” and I claim that title!!

If you two are truly size 2 and/or svelte with “mouth watering scoops of flesh”, well all I can say is YOU HAD BETTER WATCH OUT. I run down little “tarts” such as that.

From one Old Dressage Geezer of substance.

“The older I get, the better I used to be, but who the heck cares!”

If you don’t have anything humorous to add to this post (where we’ve already defined the original and new meanings of ODG), then be prepared for a pie in the face.

Oh, and YES IT DOES stand for dressage. Especially when talking about Old Dressage Geezers.

I don’t think I ever said anything about being an Independent Practitioner of Obstetrics. Hmmm…

(Louise, I WAS playing nice. I was just making a comment on the fact that we are “playing” out here. )

I’ve decided ODG stands for “opinionated dressage geek” and I claim that title!!

Oh I think she has ventured back “Off Course”. I have to admit she is “spunky” for, I am assuming, an old gal.

And if she meets the age requirement I openly welcome her, she will know what I mean.

“The older I get, the better I used to be, but who the heck cares!”

Why didn’t you come back out here on this topic and enlighten us further on what ODG really stands for??? We know you’re holding back.

Cactuskate, You will need a Sherman tank in order to run the Velvet-tart down. Be thankful, Velvet, for that ample butt that requires custom breeches. Dr. Hudson was so awed by Velvet’s prodigious proportions that he ran from the examination room screaming things like, “never in all my days seen anything like it,” and “what type of vehicle was able to transport her to my office?” and other things that were less PC.

Woah! Easy there Velvet dahlink! Some folks just feel the need to be literal at all times! Maybe she doesn’t think we’re funny, as impossible as that may be! Personally I find us highly entertaining! Sorry Kathy but gee whiz did ya think we were stoopid or sometink??

Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!!

Sure you were! Just like that time when you stuck that pencil in my eye. Really nice.

With that interpretation - no contest

Cactuskate-let me join you in the ODG, at least as senior citizen, being over 50!

PS. You can solve the getting on the big horse problem by buying a smaller horse. Easier to get on and off (voluntarily or not!) groom, feed, etc. Also, loop your gloves thru the stirrups. Then they are there when you need them. Always place whips in a spot accessable from horseback. Same for beverage bottles and snacks. After all, any ride over 25 minutes deserves a quick bite to eat! Please note I said beverage-at our age we sometimes need something stronger than water!

Velvet, your recent post proves one of the following: 1) you can’t read, 2) you don’t read, 3) you deliberately skip my posts, 4) any or all of the above.

suzy, have you seen Tattoo or Mr. Rourke lately?

Please, I’m so skinny that I’m on special diets to GAIN weight!

Not enough emoticons for you Brookes???

I just wanted to make a statement against the spreading of wet blankets in our little DQ world.

Sense of humor? Never!! Why would I ever want one of those. It would mean I’d have to want people to like me. shudder DQs never care if people actually LIKE them.

I’m going now, to have my maid polish my tiara…

Oh, and dressage IS what the “D” stands for in ODG! It is!! It IS!!!

Someone help me drag this old wading pool out of the cellar and fill it with mud …Kathy and Velvet gityerself some good wrasslin names.

But is that really cricket for a ‘moderator’ to say?

Although I thought I did buy the “correct” height horse. Unfortunately, that was when he was 3. Darn thing grew a couple of inches and is now 6 and pushing 17 hands. Go figure. Wouldn’t trade him for the world though.

But he will stand next to “anything” so the old lady can get on. What a guy. And the prospect of involuntary dismounts is lessening. In that case, God love him!

Here is Bud, at “summer camp” in San Diego. Moved him out of the heat, one of us should be comfortable, right? Only wish my home facility was as nice.

Now mind you at the time of these photos we had not been ridden since the end of June and this is the end of August. We were in our kick and go forward, forget the head mode.

And of course I am the Old Dressage Geezer so have a heart.

“The older I get, the better I used to be, but who the heck cares!”

I saw your post, lo those many days ago…harken to us, suzy, come and add to our enlightenment. You are THE “oldest dressage gargoyle” that I know of…

I’ll drop ship a crate of Hostess Twinkies and Yoohoos.
